59-Year-Old Arrested in Kalymnos for Advertising Diving Services Without Legal Certification
A 59-year-old Greek national was arrested by officers of the Kalymnos Port Authority during the morning hours of Friday, August 7, 2026, for an alleged violation of recreational diving legislation.
According to the Port Authority, the man had reportedly published posts on a social media platform advertising recreational diving services without holding the legally required certification.
The arrest was made in connection with an alleged violation of Article 15 of Greek Law 3409/2005, concerning recreational diving and related provisions.
The Kalymnos Port Authority is conducting the preliminary investigation.
