A packed Olympion Theatre in Thessaloniki hosted the presentation of “Ithaca” by former Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, sparking a lively political debate. Speakers stressed the need for a broad progressive alliance, a clear governing plan, and stronger citizen engagement, framing the event as a political starting point rather than a conventional book launch.
Among those attending the event at the Olympion Theatre were Betty Baziana, current and former SYRIZA–PS MPs and party officials, Giorgos Vassiliadis, Grigoris Theodorakis, New Left MP Ozgur Ferhat, and former MP Haris Tsiokas. Absent from the event were SYRIZA–PS leader Sokratis Famellos, who was touring Athens at the time, and Thessaloniki Mayor Stelios Angeloudis.
