According to a press release on January 30th, 2024 from the Mayor’s office, the Deputy Mayor Mrs. Kalliope Koutouzi Vogelzang took part in the BOOT DUSSELDORF BOAT SHOW 20-28 JANUARY 2024, the world’s largest yachts and watersports show, under the auspices of The Dodecanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Mrs. Koutouzi, as Deputy Mayor of Tourism-Diaspora of the Municipality of Kalymnos and as a member of the board of the Trade Association of Kalymnos, set in motion the following:
1. Contacts with Greek and foreign companies involved in yachting, maritime tourism, sailing, boating services, and marina management.
2. The promotion of the harbor of Kalymnos as a dockage/mooring location and sailboat crew – renters’ embarkation and disembarkation location
3. Meetings with representatives of other marinas to establish Kalymnos Harbor as an official and certified marina
4. Scheduling of various meetings and the confirmation that two Regatas will include Kalymnos on their routes.
