The leader of PASOK, Nikos Androulakis, is seeking to move the party beyond internal divisions by launching a strategy of openness and political outreach. Within this framework, the announcement of the “Committee for Alliance & Expansion” is expected, chaired by Kostas Skandalidis.
The new body will include around 30 figures from the broader center-left spectrum, including individuals who were not previously affiliated with PASOK, as well as former party members who have been politically inactive in recent years. Active Members of Parliament will not participate.
At a later stage, a nationwide structure with regional hubs will be formed. The initiative aims at broadening PASOK’s political and social appeal, fostering convergence with civic movements, and strengthening its grassroots support.
