40 Days Without a Response – We Will Appeal to the Court of Auditors and Prosecutor
KALYMNOS – Tensions are rising between the opposition faction Kalymnos Power and Perspective and the municipal administration following a formal letter sent by the faction’s leader, Dimitris Diakomichalis, to Deputy Mayor for Financial and Administrative Affairs Ioannis Theofilidis.
In his letter, Diakomichalis states that more than 40 days have passed without any response to a previous document submitted to the Municipality of Kalymnos regarding an issue that, according to him, concerns the management of public funds and a matter previously approved by the Municipal Council.
The opposition leader calls for an immediate reply to the questions raised in the earlier correspondence, warning that failure to provide answers will lead the involved parties and shareholders to refer the case to the President of the Hellenic Court of Auditors and the Public Prosecutor of Kos.
Diakomichalis also urges municipal officials to reconsider their position and address the issue promptly to avoid what he describes as undesirable developments.
The letter was sent to local media outlets, a move expected to intensify public scrutiny and political debate surrounding the matter of the funding of ANEK with municipal resources.
