Kalymnos Times was informed by the Hospital Director Pandelis Kogkason 20-2-2026, that painting works on the exterior facades of the Kalymnos Hospital building are currently underway, aiming to improve the building’s appearance and ensure proper maintenance of the facility.
This important initiative is being carried out with the support of private individuals and businesses. The company Vitex has donated the paints used for the project, making a significant contribution to the upgrade of the hospital’s exterior.
At the same time, the labor costs of the painting crew are being covered by locals Michalis Psarompas Antoniou, Michalis Psarompas Pothitou, and Nikolas Kalouris, a member of the Kalymnian diaspora, who are actively supporting the island’s hospital.
The intervention is expected to considerably enhance the hospital’s image, reinforcing a sense of care and respect toward the residents and visitors of Kalymnos.
