Honouring Four Saints
A five-day programme of religious services will be held in Vathy, Kalymnos, in honour of Saints Anne, Paraskevi, Panteleimon and Irene Chrysovalantou.
The celebrations are being organised by the churches of the Holy Trinity and Saint Theodore Stratelates in Vathy and will begin on Friday, July 24, 2026, concluding on Tuesday, July 28.
On Friday, July 24, at 7:00 p.m., a festal Vespers service with the Blessing of the Five Loaves will be held for Saints Joachim and Anne at the chapel dedicated to them in Kalliotissa.
On Saturday, July 25, at 7:00 a.m., festal Matins and the Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at the Chapel of Saint Anne. At 7:00 p.m., festal Vespers will be held for the feast of Saint Paraskevi at her chapel in Stimenia.
On Sunday, July 26, at 7:00 a.m., Sunday Matins and the Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at the Chapel of Saint Paraskevi. At 7:00 p.m., festal Vespers with the Blessing of the Five Loaves will be held at the Chapel of Saint Panteleimon.
On Monday, July 27, at 7:00 a.m., festal Matins and the Divine Liturgy will take place at the Chapel of Saint Panteleimon. At 7:00 p.m., festal Vespers with the Blessing of the Five Loaves will follow in honour of Saint Irene Chrysovalantou.
The celebrations will conclude on Tuesday, July 28, at 7:00 a.m., with festal Matins and the Divine Liturgy in honour of Saint Irene Chrysovalantou.
The faithful are invited to attend the services and join the religious celebrations in honour of the saints.
