The Holy Metropolis has announced the official schedule of services and presiding appearances (chorostasia) of His Eminence Metropolitan Paisios for the Holy and Great Week, from Lazarus Saturday, April 4, 2026, to Holy Wednesday, April 8, 2026.
Lazarus Saturday, April 4, 2026
- Morning (7:30 a.m.): Presiding at the feast-day chapel of Saint Lazarus, Parish of Saint Mammas, Pothia.
- Evening (5:00 p.m.): Presiding at the Church of Saint John the Theologian, Pothia.
Palm Sunday, April 5, 2026
- Morning (7:30 a.m.): Presiding at Orthros and Hierarchical Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of Panagia Kecharitomeni, Chora.
Following the service, a Trisagion memorial service will be held, according to local custom, for the “Petropolemos,” in front of the bust of Fr. Michael Tsougkranis in the church courtyard, in accordance with the official program of the Municipality of Kalymnos. - Evening (7:30 p.m.): Presiding at the Bridegroom Service at the Church of Saint Stephen, Pothia.
Holy Monday, April 6, 2026
- Morning (8:00 a.m.): Presanctified Divine Liturgy at the Church of the Presentation of the Lord, Pothia.
- Evening (7:30 p.m.): Presiding at the Bridegroom Service at the Church of Saint Charalambos, Chora.
Holy Tuesday, April 7, 2026
- Morning (8:00 a.m.): Presanctified Divine Liturgy at the Monastery of All Saints.
- Evening (7:30 p.m.): Presiding at the Bridegroom Service at the Church of Evangelistria, Pothia.
Holy Wednesday, April 8, 2026
- Morning (8:00 a.m.): Presanctified Divine Liturgy at the Church of the Holy Apostles, Argos.
- Evening (6:00 p.m.): Service of Holy Unction at the Monastery of All Saints.
- Evening (7:30 p.m.): Presiding at Orthros of Holy Thursday at the Church of Saint Athanasios, Pothia.
A further announcement will follow regarding the remaining schedule of services and presiding appearances.
