A 44-year-old man of Turkish origin, wanted by the Turkish authorities for multiple offenses including firearms and drug-related crimes, damage to public property, forgery, and more, was arrested on the evening of Tuesday, July 22, 2025, in Kos by officers of the Crime Investigation and Prosecution Department of Kos.
An INTERPOL Red Notice had been issued against him for his outstanding charges in Turkey, which include:
- Violations of firearms and drug laws
- Destruction of public property
- Forgery
- Insult, threats, bodily harm, and escape from custody
The wanted man had been residing in Kos, as restrictions had already been imposed on him due to his involvement in a human trafficking case.
He will be brought before the Court of Appeals Prosecutor of the Dodecanese.
