Kalymnos “Dances With the World” – Featured on Polish TV Across Eastern Europe
Kalymnos recently became the focal point of a major television feature by TVP, Poland’s national broadcaster and one of the most influential networks in Eastern Europe, covering the entire country and beyond.
As part of the top-rated travel show “Dancing With World”, a production team visited the island in September to film three full episodes exclusively dedicated to Kalymnos — a powerful opportunity to showcase its authentic beauty and cultural richness to millions of viewers across Poland and Eastern Europe.
During their stay, the crew explored the island extensively, capturing:
Local culture & traditions
Music & dance
Gastronomy
Handicrafts & sponge-making
Climbing activities
Breathtaking natural scenery
Special attention was given to Kalymnos’ renowned climbing sites, its historic sponge-diving industry, and the island’s multifaceted natural landscapes.
The team was warmly received and guided by the Deputy Mayor of Tourism, Ms. Kalliopi Koutouzi, in collaboration with Mr. Dimitrios Vassileiadis, director of the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) office in Poland. A courtesy meeting was held with Mayor Yiannis Mastrokoukos, who welcomed the crew and highlighted the island’s strategic vision for international tourism growth.
This high-profile feature forms part of the Municipality of Kalymnos’ strategic outreach initiatives, aiming to promote the island abroad through partnerships with major international media and tourism organizations.
Kalymnos is now “dancing with the world” — stepping into the spotlight of Eastern Europe.
