Kalymnos is preparing for a special two-night musical experience on Friday, September 18, and Saturday, September 19, 2026, as “Music Odyssey,” an ensemble from the Department of Music Studies at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, presents two concerts in Chora and Panormos.
The events are organised by the Kantouni–Linaria Environmental and Cultural Association and the Municipality of Kalymnos as part of the municipality’s cultural programme. Admission to both concerts is free.
The first performance will take place on Friday, September 18, at 8:00 p.m. at the “Katerina Klonari” Open-Air Theatre in Chora. Entitled “From the Music Clubs of the ’60s to Dionysis Savvopoulos – A Concert Journey,” the programme will take audiences through memorable moments and songs from modern Greek music.
The second concert will follow on Saturday, September 19, at 8:00 p.m. in the courtyard of Panormos Primary School. “Rocking with Music Odyssey” promises an energetic journey through Greek and international rock music.
Two distinctive concerts at two locations on Kalymnos will create a memorable weekend of live music, bringing different generations and musical traditions together beneath the island’s night sky.
