A ceremony on Friday, 9 October will recognise his contribution to education, culture and friendship between peoples.
Distinguished Serbian educator and author Goran Joksimović will be named an Honorary Citizen of Kalymnos at a ceremony organised by the municipality on Friday, 9 October 2026, at 6:30 p.m., at Kalymnos Town Hall.
According to the municipal invitation, the honour recognises his contribution to education and culture, as well as his role in strengthening bonds of friendship between peoples.
By awarding him honorary citizenship, the Municipality of Kalymnos will celebrate the connection between his educational and literary work and the values of communication and cooperation across national borders.
The invitation, issued by the Mayor’s Office of Communications and Public Relations, welcomes the public to attend the ceremony and honour the Serbian educator and author.
