On 2-2-2026, a journalist from Kalymnos Times visited the office of Hospital Administrator Pantelis Kogkas and the new Emergency Department (ED) facilities to review the past five months’ progress and outline plans for 2026.
The Administrator highlighted the operation of the physiotherapy unit, the launch of the ED with a renovation of approximately 200 sq. m., and a sharp increase in electronically scheduled appointments. He also mentioned teleradiology services and the announcement of a position for the Director of Cardiology.
For 2026, plans include the recruitment of two surgeons, full maintenance of the hospital building, patient service monitoring through wristband tracking, and securing equipment for anesthesiologists and the microbiology department.
