Three Spectacular Concerts
The Environmental and Cultural Association “Kantouni–Linaria” is launching its 2026 cultural program with a series of outstanding musical events, organized as part of the Municipality of Kalymnos’ summer cultural celebrations.
The season opens on Saturday, July 18, 2026, with “Summer Nights – An Evening of Classical Shades for Violin and Piano,” offering audiences an elegant concert dedicated to the timeless beauty of classical music.
The cultural program will continue in September with two major performances featuring the acclaimed “Music Odyssey” band from the Department of Music Studies of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, a group that has already earned the appreciation of Kalymnos audiences.
On September 18, 2026, at the Aikaterini Klonari Open-Air Theatre in Chora, the ensemble will present “From the Bouats of the 1960s to Dionysis Savvopoulos – A Musical Journey,” taking audiences through Greece’s artistic song tradition, the Neo Kyma movement, and the music of legendary songwriter Dionysis Savvopoulos.
The concert series will conclude on September 19, 2026, at the Panormos Primary School courtyard with “Rocking with Music Odyssey,” an energetic performance featuring classic Greek and international rock favorites.
Through these three distinctive concerts, the Kantouni–Linaria Environmental and Cultural Association aims to offer residents and visitors of Kalymnos a memorable cultural experience, celebrating music in all its forms—from classical masterpieces to contemporary Greek classics and the timeless energy of rock.
