2nd Kindergarten of Chora, Kalymnos brings the Golden Age of Greek Cinema back to life
An unforgettable end-of-year celebration filled with nostalgia, joy and emotion was presented by the children of the 2nd Kindergarten of Chora, Kalymnos on June 5, 2026.
Inspired by the atmosphere of an old-fashioned movie theater, the young performers recreated scenes from some of the most beloved films of the Golden Age of Greek cinema. Through their enthusiasm, talent and innocence, they delighted the audience and brought classic cinematic moments back to life.
The event’s impressive stage design and decorations transformed the venue into a vintage cinema, earning the admiration of everyone present. The celebration and its remarkable artistic setting were organized and supervised by the school’s head teacher Popi Makarouna and educator Katerina Sotiriadou, whose creativity and dedication contributed to the event’s outstanding success.
The evening concluded with the graduation ceremony for the kindergarten pupils, marking the end of a beautiful chapter and the beginning of a new journey as they prepare to enter primary school.
The audience rewarded the children and teachers with warm applause, celebrating a memorable evening that perfectly combined culture, creativity and the joy of childhood.
