Giorgos Chatzimarkos Mourns the Loss of His Father Antonis – A Heartfelt Message from Kalymnos
Emmanouil G. Mousellis, Coordinator of the Kalymnos Regional Unit, has expressed his profound sorrow over the passing of Antonis Chatzimarkos, father of South Aegean Regional Governor Giorgos Chatzimarkos.
In a condolence message issued in Kalymnos on Monday, August 17, 2026, Mr Mousellis noted that the loss of a parent leaves a profound and painful void in a person’s life—one before which words often seem inadequate.
He extended his sincere and heartfelt condolences to Giorgos Chatzimarkos, his mother and the entire family, wishing them strength through the memories they shared with Antonis Chatzimarkos, as well as through the love and values he leaves behind as his legacy.
“The memory of a man who was a father, a source of support and a point of reference for his family does not fade with his absence,” the message states, stressing that his memory will live on through those he loved and the generations he leaves behind.
Addressing the South Aegean Regional Governor personally, Mr Mousellis wished him strength, courage and faith as he stands beside his loved ones during this difficult time.
“May his memory be eternal,” the condolence message concludes.
