Measures to Protect Citizens from Severe Weather Conditions January 21–22, 2026
The Municipality of Kalymnos informs residents of the preventive and protective measures being implemented in view of the severe weather conditions expected to affect our area today, January 21, 2026, and tomorrow, January 22, 2026.
All competent municipal services are on full alert, and the Civil Protection Plan has been activated to ensure an immediate response to any emergency situations and to minimize risks to human life and property.
Recommendations to citizens:
- Avoid unnecessary travel during the weather phenomena.
- Secure objects that may be carried away by strong winds.
- Do not cross roads or streams with strong water flow.
- Follow official announcements issued by Civil Protection and the Hellenic National Meteorological Service (HNMS).

The protection of human life is our highest priority. All citizens are urged to act responsibly and comply with the instructions of the competent authorities.
