Wishes for a good year for the children and strength for their teachers marked the blessing ceremony at the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour.
Metropolitan Paisios celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour on Sunday, October 11, the Fourth Sunday of Luke, and conducted the blessing of the waters to mark the start of the parish’s new Sunday school year.
The day’s Gospel reading, the Parable of the Sower, provided a fitting setting for the beginning of the parish’s religious education classes.
The Metropolitan wished the children of Kalymnos a good year ahead and offered his wishes for strength to their Sunday school teachers as they begin the new teaching period.
