Public Regular Mixed Meeting of the Municipal Council of Kalymnos – 25 November 2025
A public regular mixed meeting of the Municipal Council was held on Tuesday, 25 November 2025, at 18:30, in the Council Chamber of the Municipal Hall, both in person and via teleconference, to decide on the items listed on the agenda.
Council President Dimitris Maragkos informed the body that the Decentralized Administration responded regarding the absences of councillors belonging to the municipal faction “Kalymnos: Force of Perspective”, clarifying that they are permitted to participate in the meetings online.
The Council proceeded with the following decisions:
- Approval of the 8th budget and technical program revision for the fiscal year 2025.
Approved.
- Approval of the 3rd and 4th quarterly budget execution reports for the fiscal year 2024.
Approved.
- Approval of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd quarterly budget execution reports for the fiscal year 2025.
Approved.
- Amendment of Decision No. 39/2025 regarding the acquisition of land plots adjacent to the Municipal Sports Center “Vasilis Sevastis” for the creation of a throwing field.
Approved – purchase of the plots confirmed.
- Approval of the extension of the completion deadline for the project “IMPROVEMENT OF ACCESS, CREATION AND MAINTENANCE OF CLIMBING ROUTES IN KALYMNOS.”
Approved – extension granted until 17 December 2025.
- Approval of extension for the contractual completion time for the study titled “Application Studies and Technical Support for the Tendering of the Project: REDUCING LANDSLIDE RISK IN CRITICAL AREAS OF KALYMNOS.”
Approved.
- Decision regarding the required actions by the Municipality for the implementation of the project “Procurement of equipment for primary and secondary education,” under funding call No. 1949/23.06.25 (OPS 17646).
No decision was taken.
- Approval of the evaluation committee’s report on applications for enrolment in the Municipal Nursery & Preschool for the school year 2025–2026.
Approved.
- Approval of vehicle entry–exit permit for the business “Karavokyros Michail” in the area of “Faraggas.”
Approved.
- Appointment of account manager responsible for all bank accounts of the Municipality of Kalymnos for the years 2026 & 2027.
Approved.
- Changes to school units of Primary and Secondary Education for the school year 2026–2027.
Approved – establishment of a Music Junior High School on the island.
