At the Kalymnos General Hospital, work continues according to plan to strengthen and upgrade healthcare services, with the support of the Greek Ministry of Health and the 2nd Health Region of Piraeus and the Aegean.
As of Wednesday, January 21, 2025, the Emergency Department (ED) has begun operating in the newly renovated wing of the hospital, according to a social media post by the Kalymnos Hospital Manager, Pandelis Kogkas.
The new ED entrance is located adjacent to the “Chalikio” building, offering easier access for patients and improved operational efficiency.
The relocation of the Emergency Department marks another important step toward enhancing the quality of healthcare services provided to both residents and visitors of Kalymnos.
