The Sports Department of the Municipality of Kalymnos is organizing a Triathlon – Duathlon event at Kantouni on Sunday, August 10th, 2025 at 12:00 PM.
Children born in 2016 and earlier are eligible to participate.
Participants must register and sign the required documents at the Sports Department, at the Municipal Stadium (+30 22430-51601), or be present at the beach one hour before the race.
Age categories will be divided into three for boys and three for girls:
- Category 1: Primary school children born in 2014–2016
- Category 2: Junior high school children born in 2011–2013
- Category 3: Boys and girls born in 2010 or earlier
Aquathlon (Duathlon)
- Swimming: along the beach, starting from the Kantouni square side, exiting roughly at the midpoint
- Running: up to the small chapel located on the beach
Triathlon
- Swimming: from Patela (Kantouni) along the beach to Kantouni square
- Cycling: uphill to the turn toward Linaria; bikes will be left at the bus stop
- Running: from Kantouni square, finishing at the beach chapel
Additional Information
- Medals and certificates will be awarded to the top three finishers in each category
- All participants will receive certificates of participation
- All age groups can choose to compete in either Aquathlon or Triathlon
- A signed liability waiver is required from all participants. For minors, the form must be signed by a parent or guardian.
The event will be supported by the Kalymnos Police Department, the Port Authority, the Hospital (EKAB), and lifeguard services, to ensure the smooth and safe conduct of the race.
