Kalymnos will celebrate one of its finest natural products with a two-day Honey Festival dedicated to the island’s pure honey, local beekeeping and rich cultural heritage.
Organised by the Municipality of Kalymnos, the festival will begin on Tuesday, August 11, at 8:00 p.m. in Christos Square and continue on Wednesday, August 12, at 8:00 p.m. in Masouri Square.
Residents and visitors will have the opportunity to taste the exceptional honey of Kalymnos, meet local beekeepers and discover a selection of high-quality products from the island.
Traditional dances and cultural presentations by the “Chorogenesis” Folklore and Traditional Association will add music and colour to both evenings, creating an enjoyable experience for visitors of all ages.
The festival is co-organised and supported by the Municipality of Kalymnos, the South Aegean Region, the Kalymnos Regional Administration, Blue Star Ferries, NISOGAS – Hellenic LPG Company, the Kardamena Lyceum Club of Greek Women and “Thymaritis.”
The event’s main sponsor is “Melissovioma – Panormitis Kampouris.”
