Under the provisions of laws 3852/2010 and 3979/2011, as well as their relevant extensions, and considering the need for support and assistance to the Mayor on specific issues, the Mayor of Kalymnos, Ioannis Mastrokoukos, decided on March 12, 2024, to assign duties to an unpaid special advisor, Mr. George Roussos, former Mayor, for assistance in two specific areas:
1. Completion and operation of the Diving Park in Arginonta, Kalymnos.
2. Development, Proposal, Monitoring, and Implementation of a Comprehensive Development Program for Athletics in Kalymnos, in collaboration with the Sports Officer of the Municipality and the Sports Service of the Municipality.
The special advisor will perform purely advisory duties, without any decision-making authority of any kind. Additionally, he will provide written or oral advice and formulate specialized opinions to the Mayor. He will also collaborate with the Deputy Mayors, the relevant municipal services, as well as with entities and individuals from the broader public and private sectors. He will utilize – following prior consultation – the resources and technical infrastructure of the Municipality’s Technical Services if deemed necessary to facilitate his work.
There will be no expense incurred by the Municipality’s budget, except for the out-of-town travel expenses of the said Special Advisor, which will be fully covered by the Municipality, provided that the legally prescribed conditions and procedures are followed.
This decision will be posted on the Municipality’s website and notice board, as well as on the “Diavgeia” Program.
The decision is valid until the end of the current municipal term, except in cases of modification or revocation by a new decision of the Mayor.
