On March 10, 2023, at 10:30 a.m., the 3rd “YIANNIS PAPANIKOLAS” city run will take place. The starting point is at the central square of Kalymnos. It is organized in memory of the late Microbiologist Doctor Yiannis Papanikolas. Mr. Papanikolas, an athlete devoted to classical sports, left behind a significant legacy before his untimely passing.
The Sports Club ENOSI Kazonis-Kalymnos is hosting the event, under the auspices of SEGAS (Hellenic Athletics Federation), with financial support from the Municipality of Kalymnos and the South Aegean Region through the Prefecture. Additionally, substantial sponsorship is provided by lawyer Irini Kalikatzarou, alongside contributions from various entrepreneurs who endorse the initiative.
