The Ministry of Shipping and Island Policy has launched the 5th initial open international competitive tender for the 2024–2025 ferry period, aiming to ensure public maritime services to remote islands.
The tender includes the “Kalymnos – Kos – Astypalea and return” route, highlighting the strategic importance of inter-island connectivity in the Dodecanese.
The tender will be held on October 6, 2025, at the Ministry’s premises in Piraeus.
Total estimated budget: €978,546 (including VAT)
Funding: Public Investment Program (PIP)
Award criterion: Lowest price offered
Bidders must own vessels meeting the minimum requirements and comply with all legal and technical criteria.
