Planetarium comes to Kalymnos for the first time – A two-day astronomy experience for all ages
For the first time, Kalymnos will host a planetarium experience on February 28 and March 1, at the courtyard of the 5th Primary School of Kalymnos Town, offering a unique educational and entertainment event for children and adults alike.
The event will feature impressive dome projections tailored to different age groups, live sky observation through a real telescope, and the rare opportunity for visitors to touch a genuine meteorite. An experienced astronomer will present astronomy topics, turning the event into an interactive science experience.
The initiative is open to all age groups — from preschool children and primary students to teenagers and adults — aiming to spark interest in space and science within the local community.

Pre-sale tickets are available at Kalymnos Benetton Kids, priced at:
- €8 for children and adults
- €7 for siblings and large families
Seats are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
The event is co-organized by the Parents & Guardians Association of the 5th Primary School and Kalymnos Benetton Kids.
The planetarium is expected to become one of the most engaging educational highlights of the season, offering Kalymnos residents the chance to explore the universe from their own island.
