As part of World Breastfeeding Week (November 1–7, 2025), the Kalymnos Hospital is organizing an awareness event for pregnant and postpartum women, aiming to promote and support breastfeeding.
The event will take place on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at “Chalikeio” and will include:
- Distribution of informative brochures by the Ministry of Health
- Educational presentations
- Interactive workshops with certified midwives from the Maternity Clinic and the Hospital’s Psychologist
Topics to be covered include:
✔ Benefits of breastfeeding
✔ Breastfeeding positions and techniques
✔ Milk storage and handling
✔ Nutrition of the breastfeeding mother
✔ Mother-child bonding and emotional development
The event is officially approved by the Director of Nursing Services and the Hospital Administrator. An invitation will be posted on the hospital’s website and shared via local media to inform the public.
