Changes to Carnival & Clean Monday Events – Parade and Traditional Feast on Sunday
Adjustments to the schedule of Carnival and Clean Monday events were announced by the Mayor’s Office of Communication & Public Relations.
On Clean Monday, February 23, 2026, the customary music event at Elies will not take place, as the property owners intend to make use of the venue.
The main festivities will instead take place on Sunday, February 22, 2026. At 11:30 a.m., the Carnival Parade will begin from the area in front of the District Office. In the evening, at 7:00 p.m., following the traditional “Synghorio,” a traditional celebration will be held at the Village Station featuring the band “Dionysakia.”
The Municipality extends wishes for a good Lent to all.
