“Creative People of Kalymnos” Christmas Exhibition | 8–13 December at the Cultural Centre Mousses, Pothia
Kalymnos welcomes the festive season with the annual handmade arts and crafts event “Creative People of Kalymnos”, taking place from 8 to 13 December at the Cultural Centre Mousses in Pothia.
The exhibition features exclusively handmade creations by local artists and crafters, giving visitors the chance to support the island’s creative community and discover unique Christmas gifts.
Opening hours
• 8–10 December: 11:00 – 20:00
• 11–13 December: from 11:00 until late
• 12 December from 17:00: hot wine and hot chocolate offered by local charities.
Among the items on display are Christmas decorations, macramé, handcrafted soaps, pottery, weaving, crochet, knitting, handmade candles, scented candles, knitted bags, hair accessories, paintings, hand-painted icons, winter fashion accessories, handmade silver jewellery, cement and porcelain decorations, and Kalymnian-themed stone and wood crafts.
Local charities participating:
– Paws of Kalymnos – Animal welfare charity
– 3rd Primary School of Kalymnos – Year 6 fundraising for their end-of-year trip.
The exhibition promises a warm festive atmosphere and highlights the creativity and craftsmanship of Kalymnos’ artistic community.
