Through Extrajudicial Notice – Document Forwarded to Kos Prosecutor’s Office
Municipal councillor and leader of the “Kalymnos – Dynamis Prooptikis” political group Dimitris Diakomichalis has formally requested a copy of the certified auditors’ report concerning the extraordinary management audit of DEYAK, the Municipal Water and Sewerage Company of Kalymnos, for the 2019-2023 period.
According to a press release issued on July 16, 2026, the extrajudicial notice was formally served on July 15 to Michalis Lelekis, president of DEYAK’s Board of Directors. A copy was also forwarded to the Kos Public Prosecutor’s Office.
Diakomichalis states that the audit report was delivered to the municipal company in December 2025 and concerns financial matters from a period during which he served as its president. On that basis, he argues that he has a legitimate interest in obtaining a copy.
He also objects to what he describes as a confidentiality clause attached to DEYAK Board Decision No. 76, through which the findings of the audit were adopted.
Through the formal notice, Diakomichalis requests the immediate release of the report and states his intention to make it public to the people of Kalymnos. He is also seeking the report’s filing protocol number and a copy of the official record documenting its receipt by the competent committee.
The document further contains strong political criticism of both the DEYAK president and the Mayor of Kalymnos, linking the request to the need for full public information and transparency regarding the findings of the management audit.
The notice was served by a judicial bailiff operating within the jurisdiction of the Dodecanese Court of Appeal. The documents made available do not include a response from the DEYAK administration to the request.
