“En Stavro” Devotional Music Event to Take Place on Holy Thursday in Kalymnos
A special devotional music event titled “En Stavro” will take place on Holy Thursday at midnight (12:00 a.m.) at the Church of Panagia Evangelistria in Kalymnos.
The event is part of the Holy Week observances and aims to offer a deeply spiritual experience for both locals and visitors, in an atmosphere of reverence and reflection, in front of the Crucified Christ and illuminated by candlelight.
The performance will feature soloists Manolis Kazavoulis and Giannis Mousselis, accompanied by an ison choir. The performers will present selected hymns from the Holy Week liturgy, highlighting their profound theological and musical significance.
Additional participants include Mikes Kyranis, Angelos Kyranis, Panagiotis Chatzidakis, and Manolis Polias, contributing to the rich choral and devotional setting.
The event is expected to be a highlight of the island’s Easter program, inviting audiences to experience a night of spiritual elevation and sacred music.
