The Balkan Youth Cooperation organization, a partner of the mazi.eu network, in collaboration with the Global Academy for Future Governance, is organizing an Essay Writing Competition on the topic:
“The Right to an Analogue Life and Mental Balance in the Age of Overdigitalised, Contactless Society.”
The competition is open to young people aged 15 to 35 – students, university attendees, or researchers – who may participate either individually or in teams.
The initiative aims to encourage young people to reflect and express themselves on two pressing issues in today’s society: Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Mental Health. Through their essays, participants are invited to explore how technology affects their emotional, social, and cognitive lives, as well as the opportunities and challenges it presents for the future.
The top three essays will receive awards and will be presented in a dedicated online forum. They will also be published in the organization’s Annual Policy Digest.
If you are interested in participating, you can submit your essay (maximum 1,500 words) by emailing it to info@balkanyouthcooperation.com with the subject line “Essay Competition 2025”, no later than November 16, 2025.
The essay must be written in English, using Times New Roman, font size 12, and submitted in either PDF or Word format.
