In a social media post, SYRIZA-PS leader Socrates Famellos criticized Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, in response to references about political “toxicity.”
In his statement, Mr. Famellos accuses the Prime Minister of “serving toxicity,” referring to the period surrounding the Prespa Agreement. He notes that during that time there were threats and attacks against political figures, including then Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias, as well as incidents targeting the homes of members of parliament.
The SYRIZA-PS leader argues that party members were targeted because they supported what he describes as a “responsible national choice,” and questions whether the Prime Minister had condemned those attacks.
He also criticizes past statements made by Mr. Mitsotakis about SYRIZA, suggesting that they contributed to the escalation of political tensions during that period.
