Press Conference by Former ANEK Board Members on the Current Situation of the Company
On Μοnday, May 18, 2026, at 20:00, a press conference was held by the former Board of Directors of ANEK during the Municipal Administration of Dimitris Diakomichalis, focusing on the current situation of the Kalymnos Maritime Company (ANEK).
Absent from the former Board was Giorgos Mavros, a member of the opposition.
All local media outlets had been invited to attend; however, only journalists Eleftheria Tiliakou and Irini Chalkiti were present. The press conference was broadcast live through Kalymnos Times.
The speakers included:
- Dimitris Diakomichalis, Board member and former Mayor,
- former ANEK President Giorgos Thanatsis,
- and former ANEK President Ioannis Diamantis.
During the conference, the speakers discussed the company’s course and the issues currently affecting its operation, followed by questions from the attending journalists.
