From Monday, June 16 to Friday, June 20, 2025, the Municipality of Kalymnos, in collaboration with the Hellenic Cancer Society (HCS), is organizing free mammography screenings as part of its breast cancer awareness and early diagnosis program.
The initiative will be conducted using the HCS Mobile Mammography Unit, which will be stationed outside the KAPI (Senior Citizens Center).
Operating hours will be daily from 09:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a maximum of 30 women examined per day.
The examination is painless, quick, and uses minimal radiation, thanks to state-of-the-art technology.
Eligibility criteria:
- Women aged 35 years and older
- Must not have had a mammogram in the past 12 months
- No history of breast cancer, biopsy, or cosmetic breast procedures
- Not currently menstruating (3 days before to 5 days after menstruation)
Appointments will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis via telephone at +30 22430 23140, Monday to Friday, between 09:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
