George Mavros, Head of the Municipal Party “Kalymnos Allazei” (Kalymnos is Changing), invited the island’s media to a press conference. Among other things, Mr. Mavros addressed the following issues:
- The urgent need for ANEK to add a ferry route to cover the first two morning flights to and from Kos, to better serve Kalymnos’ passengers, as visitors currently face serious difficulties.
- Tackling the island’s sewage problems and frequent water supply interruptions.
- The high cost of ferry tickets.
- The safety of children at the new playground in Agios Stefanos has not yet been ensured since it has not yet been opened to the public formally.
