NEW LEROS RECORD in the High Jump U20 Women – U23 Women – Women
A historic new record for Leros athletics was set in the women’s high jump during the Greek Indoor Athletics Championships for Men and Women, held at the Peace and Friendship Stadium (SEF) in Athens on Sunday, February 23, 2025.
Georgia Vorvota (born 2006), competing for GSN Leros and coached by Tasos Dallaris, cleared 1.48 meters in the pentathlon event, establishing a new Leros record in the U20 Women, U23 Women, and Women’s categories.
With this performance:
- She broke the previous Leros record of 1.20 m, held by Vasileia Koroni, set at the Dodecanese Interclub Championships U14 (Kalymnos, 26/10/2024).
- She placed Leros 10th in the Aegean Islands U20 Women High Jump Records list.
This outstanding achievement highlights the athlete’s rapid progress and marks a significant milestone for Leros athletics on the national stage.
