A special Easter celebration was organized by the “Horogenesis” Dance Association, in collaboration with the Municipality of Kalymnos, inviting residents and visitors to celebrate Easter infused with the rich traditions of various regions of Greece and the wider Hellenic world.
The dance group, together with the musicians, uplifted the crowd as the event began with a lively serenade (kantada), spreading joy as they moved through the streets of the town.
The event took place on Easter Monday, April 13, 2026, at 19:00, behind the Kalymnos Prefecture building. The program featured traditional dances from across Greece, accompanied by live music, creating an authentic festive atmosphere.
The orchestra included musicians:
- Mavroudis Antoniou and Manolis Platis on violin
- Giorgos Drakos on lute
- Flourios Asvestas on keyboards
The event was supported by sponsors, including Nektarios Anatolitis and REDIE969. At the end of the event, the organizers invited the audience to join in the dancing.
Notably, the absence of the Opposition and other representatives of the local government from the Municipality’s Easter events was evident.
