The current Mayor of Tarpon Springs, Panagiotis Koulias, will complete his successful term of office by the end of March 2025. For some reason, local media on the island circulated incorrect information, implying that Mr. Koulias’ term would end a month earlier.
As of April 1, 2025, Ioannis Koulianos, who also has Kalymnian heritage, will be sworn in as the new mayor of the city. The elections will take place on March 11, 2025, with Mr. Koulianos as the sole candidate.
