Open Call for Island Producers
The flavours of the South Aegean will take centre stage in Athens this November, as the South Aegean Region participates in the Food and Beverage Exhibition, to be held from 11 to 14 November 2026 at the multipurpose hall of Syntagma Metro Station.
The initiative aims to showcase local products and promote the distinctive culinary identity of the Cyclades and the Dodecanese.
The South Aegean Region is inviting island producers to participate in the exhibition and present their products to a broad audience of consumers and industry professionals.
The event also offers an important opportunity for producers from Kalymnos to showcase foods and beverages closely linked to the island’s land, sea and culinary traditions. Their participation can strengthen the visibility of their businesses and open the way to new commercial partnerships.
Who is eligible to participate?
The invitation is addressed to producers and businesses that process or package local agricultural products, food and beverages using locally sourced raw materials.
Interested producers must submit their participation forms by Monday, 7 September 2026. No new applications will be accepted after the deadline.
Exhibitors will be selected according to specific criteria and following verification of their information and required certifications. Applicants who do not meet the stated conditions or are not engaged in the processing and packaging of local primary products will be excluded.
Island gastronomy in the spotlight
The South Aegean Region’s participation forms part of its broader strategy to promote island gastronomy as a defining element of local identity, culture and productive activity.
The initiative is also linked to the Region’s bid for the title of World Region of Gastronomy 2028, helping enhance the international profile of South Aegean products and the islands’ rich culinary heritage.
The exhibition at Syntagma Metro Station will give island producers the opportunity to introduce their products to the Athens market, highlight their connection to their place of origin and expand their commercial presence.
Dodecanese producers can obtain further information by calling +30 22413 60567, while producers from the Cyclades may contact +30 22810 82380.
