South Aegean Region to present WHEN research findings and honor outstanding students and local organizations
A special event highlighting social awareness, education and community achievement will be held by the South Aegean Region – Kalymnos Regional Unit on Monday, May 25, 2026, at 19:00, at the Kalymnos Municipal Center for Culture and History.
The event will focus on the presentation of the research findings conducted by the organization WHEN, under the theme “Women of the Municipality of Kalymnos”, aiming to shed light on the role, challenges and experiences of women within the local community.
The evening will also include honorary awards and recognitions for students, educators and local institutions that achieved distinctions in important national educational competitions and initiatives.
Among those to be honored are:
- KEDASY Kalymnos and Eirini Diadou for their distinction at the Special Education Awards 2025.
- Kalymnian students who excelled in the national mathematics competition “Pythagoras.”
- Students who stood out in the national final of “Girls Go Circular 2025” and the Young Business Talents virtual business competition.
Organizers describe the initiative as a meaningful combination of social dialogue and recognition of educational excellence, emphasizing the importance of empowering youth, promoting equal opportunities and supporting innovation in education.
Kalymnos Regional Governor Emmanouil G. Mousellis has invited the local community to attend what is expected to be an inspiring evening dedicated to knowledge, creativity and civic participation.
