Local Urban Plan of Kalymnos: Pros and Cons of the Alternative Planning Scenarios
As part of the Local Urban Plan (LUP) for the Municipality of Kalymnians, a set of alternative spatial planning scenarios was presented on February 1st 2026, at the Cultural Center, outlining different approaches to the future development of the island. Each scenario reflects a distinct planning philosophy and is evaluated based on spatial organization, environmental protection, economic growth, and infrastructure capacity.
