Konstantina Gonatou, a Kalymnian student at the School of Fine Arts of Ioannina, took part in the exhibition “From Silver to Paper,” held at the Silversmithing Museum of Ioannina, presenting a jewelry design inspired by the museum’s traditional exhibits and the art of Epirus silversmithing.
Her work drew inspiration from the museum’s collections and the historic silversmithing tradition of Epirus, combining contemporary artistic expression with the region’s cultural heritage.
The exhibition featured works by students of the School of Fine Arts under the guidance of Professor Dimosthenis Papadopoulos, offering young artists the opportunity to showcase creations influenced by traditional craftsmanship and folk art.
The initiative highlighted the connection between modern visual arts and the long-standing silversmithing tradition of Epirus, while also showcasing the creativity of the school’s students.
