Kos Honors the 84th Anniversary of the Battle of Crete
The Cretan Association of Kos “O Talos” and the Municipality of Kos invite the public to attend a commemorative event honoring the 84th Anniversary of the Battle of Crete, to be held on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in Eleftherias Square, Kos.
As part of the event, Mr. Nikos Daskalantonakis, founder and president of the Grecotel Group, will be honored for his long-standing contribution to the Association.
The program features musical and dance performances from Kos, Kalymnos, and other regions, including the Kos Municipal Philharmonic, the Children’s Choir of Maria Orfanoudaki Music School, traditional instrument performances by Manolis Mammi, and various dance troupes, such as the Kalymnos-based “Chorogenesis” Dance Association.
The celebration will conclude with a traditional Cretan feast at “Akropolis” in Mastichari, with live music by Manolis Mammi’s group.
