Mrs. Katerina Emmanouil, Coordinator of the Child Rights Secretariat of New Democracy for the South Aegean, visited the KDAP for Children with Disabilities (KDAP AmeA) in Kalymnos, once again expressing her support for the important work of the Association of Parents and Guardians of Persons with Disabilities “Saint Panteleimon.” This time, the visit had a special purpose: to prepare a joyful breakfast together with the children at the center.
During the visit, there was an informative discussion about the ongoing challenges faced by the center in its mission to consistently support individuals with disabilities and their families. At the same time, the primary goal of Ms. Emmanouil’s presence was to participate in a hands-on activity of joy and creativity with the children hosted at the KDAP.
With the participation of students from the Panormos Primary School, the Coordinator and the children of the KDAP created a festive breakfast in a warm and collaborative environment. The children prepared toast, squeezed fresh oranges, enjoyed their juice, and decorated cakes with chocolate, sprinkles, and candy – experiencing the joy of creation and teamwork.
The young participants were especially delighted by the process, enjoyed their handmade treats, and shared moments full of excitement and positive energy. The event concluded with Christmas songs and dancing by the students of Panormos Primary School, bringing a festive and heartfelt touch to the day.
The Child Rights Secretariat of New Democracy warmly thanks the teachers and students of Panormos Primary School for their enthusiastic and sensitive participation, as well as the staff, the President, and the Board Members of the Kalymnos KDAP for Children with Disabilities for embracing the initiative and meaningfully contributing to the effort to bring joy to the center’s beneficiaries.
