“8 New Vehicles for Fire Services in the Dodecanese”. As part of the AIGIS program, the Fire Service in the Dodecanese is being reinforced with 8 new vehicles.
Specifically, the following vehicles are included:
- One water tanker fire truck (4×2), with a 1,000-liter water capacity
- One water tanker fire truck (6×4), with a 12,000-liter water capacity
- One 22-seater bus
- One MERCEDES-BENZ SPRINTER 4×4
- One MERCEDES-BENZ VITO 9-seater (4×2)
- Three ISUZU D-MAX (4×4) pickups
Manos Konsolas had raised the issue of strengthening fire services in the Dodecanese through a parliamentary intervention on December 9.
Additionally, on May 28, in his capacity as Chairman of the Regional Affairs Committee, he took the initiative to inform the committee members about the fire protection needs of the region. This was done in the presence of the Minister for Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, Mr. Kefalogiannis.
It is also emphasized that Manos Konsolas has requested the reinforcement of the Fire Service in the Dodecanese with modern surveillance drones for monitoring forested areas at risk of wildfires.
