“The exams do not define your worth,” says Mayor Giannis Mastrokoukos
The Mayor of Kalymnos, Giannis Mastrokoukos, has sent a message of encouragement and support to students preparing to take Greece’s Panhellenic national university entrance examinations.
In his statement, the mayor — speaking both as an educator and as head of the local municipality — acknowledged the stress, pressure and anxiety experienced by students during this demanding period, while emphasizing that the exams are only one important milestone in life rather than a final destination.
“The Panhellenic Exams do not define either your value or your entire life,” the mayor stated, urging candidates to enter the examination rooms with calmness, confidence and faith in their abilities.
He also stressed that success should not be measured solely by grades, but also by persistence, dignity and the determination with which young people pursue their future goals.
Mastrokoukos expressed the pride of Kalymnos society in the island’s youth, noting that students have the support of their families, teachers and the entire local community throughout their efforts.
Concluding his message, the mayor wished all candidates success, health, optimism and strength as they continue chasing their dreams and building their future.
