During its meeting on April 15, 2026, the Municipal Council approved the implementation of night pedestrian zones in the areas of Linaria and Rina for the summer season. The measure will be in effect from July 15 to September 15, 2026.
The decision was passed by majority vote, aiming to improve pedestrian mobility, enhance the tourist experience, and upgrade the overall quality of life in these areas during the peak summer period.
However, the municipal faction “Kalymnos Changes” expressed reservations regarding the measure and did not support the decision, highlighting concerns that they believe require further consideration.
