Free Summer Sports for Everyone in Kalymnos
The Municipality of Kalymnos is encouraging residents to stay active this summer by offering free access to its municipal sports facilities, following the announcement of the summer operating schedule for the Municipal Swimming Pool and the Indoor Basketball Gym.
According to the Municipal Sports Office, the Municipal Swimming Pool will be open to the public from 1 July to 31 August 2026, with both morning and afternoon sessions on weekdays. The Indoor Sports Hall will be available from 1 July to 15 August 2026, with dedicated evening hours for basketball and volleyball. Use of both facilities is completely free of charge.
Visitors wishing to use the swimming pool must present medical certificates issued by a cardiologist or general physician and a dermatologist. Swimmers are also required to wear a swimming cap, use clean slippers and shower before entering the pool. Those using the indoor gym must wear clean athletic shoes.
The Municipal Sports Office invites residents of all ages to make the most of the public sports facilities and enjoy an active, healthy summer.
