The Kalymnos Municipal Port Fund has issued a strong warning against the unauthorized occupation of port areas, calling on owners of boats, boat trailers and other equipment to remove them immediately in order to avoid legal penalties.
According to an official press release, the initiative aims to safeguard the orderly operation of the island’s ports while ensuring the safety and smooth movement of all port users.
The Port Fund notes that it has repeatedly observed the unauthorized occupation of public spaces within the land port zones by boat trailers—many of them without registration plates—as well as boats and various other objects, all placed without the required written authorization from the competent authority.
Officials stress that no use of port facilities is permitted without prior written approval. Owners are therefore urged to remove any unauthorized items from areas under the Port Fund’s jurisdiction without delay, as failure to comply may result in the sanctions provided by law.
The announcement is signed by the President of the Kalymnos Municipal Port Fund, Michail Platsis.
